Our next Library Evening will be on Thursday 26th February from 6-8pm in The Common House.
We are delighted to say that English historian and author Professor Sir Paul Preston has kindly agreed to talk to us about his book “The Doves of War.” It tells the story of The Spanish Civil War through the eyes and experiences of four extraordinary women, whose personal histories should dispel any illusions that the Spanish Civil War was an all-male war.
(Paul has recently been unwell but is very much hoping to be with us.)
As usual, there will be a book swap and your own recommendations of recent reads which will be most welcome.
Feel free to bring your own drinks but there will be wine and soft drinks available with a contribution to the honesty bar.
These evenings are open to all residents.
