Our next Library Evening will be on Thursday July 9th from 6-8pm in the Common House.
In May 2026 the Guardian published a list of the greatest novels of all time – an impossible task!
Coming top was “Middlemarch” by George Eliot. The following week, readers offered their own suggestions
and coming top was “Lord of The Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkein.
We would like to explore at this meeting what your favourite novel might be. It doesn’t have to be a classic but perhaps the one that has made a lasting impact, or had a strong personal attachment, or because it was so enjoyable you have reread it. Please each come with your own suggestions.
As usual there will also be time to share your recent reading recommendations and drinks will be available from the Honesty Bar or feel free to bring your own.
These evenings are open to all residents and we look forward to seeing you there.
