The story of Naomi Blake – sculptor
An evening online event by Barnet Libraries
Wed, 24 February 2021
19:00 – 20:00
Hilary Sinclair writes: Naomi Blake lived two doors away from my parents in Woodside Avenue, but I didn’t meet her until I moved to Woodside Square. By then she was living with the effects of Parkinson’s disease including dementia and we couldn’t converse. By chance I met her daughter Anita Peleg through a relative and was able to learn more about the influence of her life on her art (YouTube: Naomi Blake, Holocaust survivor and sculptor; naomiblake.co.uk). I also had the opportunity to see some of her sculptures in the garden of 41 Woodside Avenue through an Open House event after she died in 2018.
On 25th February 7-8 pm Barnet Libraries are hosting a talk by Anita Peleg about her mother via Zoom which is free and can be booked via Eventbrite.
