This is a reminder that, at the next regular ‘Library Evening’ run by Waveney Harries and Yvonne Packer, Lewis Spitz, Emeritus Professor of Paediatric Surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital and a resident of Woodside Square will give a talk on ‘The separation of conjoined twins’.
The separation of conjoined twins raises many issues, ethical, surgical and organisational. Lewis has been involved in the management of 40 sets of twins (the largest series in the world) and his success rate of 90% is internationally renowned, as is the rest of his work.
Lewis has also written over 400 publications and been the author or co-author of over 10 books.
Lewis first gave this talk to some WSRA members on Zoom during lock-down and it was riveting so don’t miss it. We shall be using our recently acquired projector to show the many illustrations accompanying the talk.
As always feel free to bring your own refreshments or have a glass of wine or a soft drink with a contribution to the honesty bar.
